St. Patrick's Day
Heyy everyone! Welcome to my new blog entry. In our last English lesson we talked about St. Patrick's Day. Today I'd like to give you some Information. Every year in March 17 th, people of English speaking countries celebrate the St. Patrick's Day. It is celebrate to remember on Saint Patrick. Saint Patrick’s Day is also called Paddi’s day, it’s the national day for Ireland and is a cultural and religious celebration. Saint Patrick was a bishop in Ireland. At the age of 16, he was kidnapped by raiders. When he came back, he made the decision to become a priest. It is celebrated all over Ireland and everywhere in the world where Irish People or their descendants live. The first St. Patrick's Day parade was held in Ireland in Waterford in 1903. In the beginning, it was a three day long celebration, but now it is a five day long celebration.
