US presidential election


Hey guys!

Welcome to my next entry, I hope you are doing fine!
 
In school we were talking about the US presidential election. Donald Trump had won the election against his biggest opponent Hillary Clinton. 47,4% voted for Trump, 47,4% of the population voted for Clinton.

In my mind these are the most interesting accurate studies. They are taken from forenoon of 9th November. In these studies you see in terms of gender, age and race. The red colour stands for Donald Trump and the blue colour is for Clinton.


 

 

The reason because why he won is that he promised very much and a lot of people believe these promises. Trump got a lot of votes because he said a lot of things people wanted to hear.

I wonder what will happen in the following years. I am pretty sure that he will not be able to build the wall, which should divide Mexico and the US. Beginning it will be one thing though, finishing another. He also would like to “remove” the more than two million criminal, illegal immigrants. It might be difficult, mainly because there are only an estimated 178,000 illegal immigrants with criminal records currently at large in the US.

    However, mind the following:

    -“In my mind THESE are the most accurate studies.”
    In these studies you see the result IN TERMS OF GENDER, age and race
    -The reason WHY he won is that…
    -A load of …(is informal for “’a lot of’, so use it with care!!)
    -“a lot of people believe these promises” (without ‘will’!!)
    - REWRITE THE FOLLOWING SENTENCE: Trump said a lot of things, which people wish they are real and when we are hearing something which we wish, we believe it rather.
    My suggestion: Trump got a lot of votes because he said a lot of things people wanted to hear.

    If you add pictures or graphs which are not yours, you always have to indicate the source!
    If you copy sentences from Internet sources, you also have to indicate the source!!

Outsourcing – India

Hello everyone! I have just watched the trailer of the movie „Outsourced“, which talks about the cultural differences between American and Indian business life. Today I want to give you some information about the movie regarding the employees culture and outsourcing. Basically what it talks about is that an american guy, who is travelling to Mumbai should learn the people, who are working in the call center, the American culture and mentality. The employees there have an own cultural identity and it is difficult for them to learn the American style. Typical Indian topics like the holy cows or the colourful Holi-festival also play a significan role in the movie.
