Society Trend - Social Media

Hello everyone!


Today I am going to talk about Social Media websites and their upgoing or down going trends.
More people spend their freetime on Social Media. It is an interesting activity to get information, share pictures or meet new friends. Some people like to give advices to other people and help them. Others use it as a diary and share their adventures.

I also use Social Media websites like Whatsapp or Instagram. Whatsapp is great to communicate to new friends. It is easy to text them, call them or make a video call. 
Instagram is a great platform to share pictures. Sometimes I share one of my friends, my family or myself, too. It is important for me to have a private account, that means I am only accepting people to follow me I know. 
In comparison to these platforms I do not use Facebook or Twitter. In know, that some of my friends have an account on Facebook but they do not check it regularly. I do not know many people who use Twitter.

The line graph deals with the weekly use of the four different social media sites Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram. The line graph shows the percentage and it compares the years 2014 to 2017.
Facebook is used by about 60% and this platform climbed up 10 % in the first year, then it remained stable. 
In 2014 WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram are used by less than one third, but WhatsApp and Instagram climbed up over the years.
In year one WhatsApp went up for also 10%, as well as between 2015 and 2017.
Twitter levelled off between 2014 and 2015, then it fluctuated. 
Instagram is used by instead one out of ten in 2014 by two out of ten in 2017.
I understand the high use in Whatsapp, because it is very popular in the younger and in the older Generation.
As I mentioned above I do not use Facebook, nor my friends use it regularly. That is a reason why I do not comprehend the high figures in Facebook. The numbers are probably explained by the younger middle generation like the 25 to 35 year old people who use it.

All in all I really understand that people use Social media, because it makes some things, like communication, easier.

Outsourcing – India

Hello everyone! I have just watched the trailer of the movie „Outsourced“, which talks about the cultural differences between American and Indian business life. Today I want to give you some information about the movie regarding the employees culture and outsourcing. Basically what it talks about is that an american guy, who is travelling to Mumbai should learn the people, who are working in the call center, the American culture and mentality. The employees there have an own cultural identity and it is difficult for them to learn the American style. Typical Indian topics like the holy cows or the colourful Holi-festival also play a significan role in the movie.
