Hello everyone!



At first I am going to introduce myself.
My name is Kristina Jank and I come from Tragwein, a small village in Upper Austria. I was born on 18th April 2001 in Linz. I am 14 years old and I attend the Business College in Perg. I live with my two elder sisters Melanie and Lisa, my parents and my grandfather. Melanie is 22 years old and she works as an accountant at the company Engel. Lisa, the eldest sister is 23 years old. She works at a bank in Linz. My dad works as a bricklayer and my mother is a housewife.

In my freetime I like skiing and spending time with my friends. We watch different kinds of movies for examples comedy, romantic or horror. Sometimes we go for a walk.

Outsourcing – India

Hello everyone! I have just watched the trailer of the movie „Outsourced“, which talks about the cultural differences between American and Indian business life. Today I want to give you some information about the movie regarding the employees culture and outsourcing. Basically what it talks about is that an american guy, who is travelling to Mumbai should learn the people, who are working in the call center, the American culture and mentality. The employees there have an own cultural identity and it is difficult for them to learn the American style. Typical Indian topics like the holy cows or the colourful Holi-festival also play a significan role in the movie. Fire Brigade

Fire Brigade   I am member of the voluntary fire brigade Hinterberg. It is one of the three fire brigades in my village Tragwein. The voluntary fire brigade Hinterberg has about 70 commitments a year. There are 195 members in my fire brigade. At the moment we are 15 teenagers in our group at the age of 11 to 16 years. Since last year we have four new coaches. We train especially in spring and summer to prepare for the following season which is during May and July. At the voluntary fire brigade Hinterberg we have three groups of adults. One of them is very successful. During a competition we have to take part at two different types of parcours. They are called attack and relay race. The time of these two competitions will count together and will convert to points. The group with the highest number of points is the winner. Hey guys! We were talking about Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday in school today. British people celebrate these days respectively on Friday, Saturday and Monday in one week. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are essentially the same expect the date and how the shop sell cheap offers. Black Friday offers cheaper products in shopping malls on Friday and Cyber Monday offers cheaper products online on the following Monday. In general the products are 30-60% cheaper. On Black Friday and Cyber Monday you are able to make the best deals, because almost everything is quite cheap. The background idea of these two days is that people start to shop earlier. It is every year on the fourth Thursday of November. First nation-wide Thanksgiving was proclaimed on 26 th of November 1789 by George Washington.
