Guy Fawkes Day

Heyy guys!

How are you doing?

Today we have learnt a lot of Guy Fawkes Day at school. Let me tell something about it.

The Guy Fawkes Day is especially celebrated in Britain. The British people, mainly the Youngsters, celebrate it on the November 5th. Every year in the evening when it gets dark, people let off rockets and Catherine wheels. They burn the "guy" on a bonfire of leaves and garden rubbish. The “guy” is a figure which is made out of rags or old clothes. Children make it some time before the day and display them in the street. They call out, “Penny for the guy!” and collect money from passers-by. They usually spend the money on fireworks. They roast potatoes and sausages in the fire too.

Thank you for reading this! See you soon! :)
