Press Review - Global warming

Hello everyone ! Welcome to my press review.  I was reading an article the other day in the online edition of IndiaCelebrating.com and it talks about global warming.  I thought you might be interested because all of us are responsible for climate change. Global warming is a big problem nowadays. We all are responsible for melting glaciers, changing weather patterns, rising sea levels, floods, cyclones and droughts.  Basically what it says is that greenhouse gases support the negative effects in the earth’s atmosphere. All over the world humans use carbon dioxide emissions, burn fossil fuels and clear a forest. I think you know that all off these impacts lead to a worse world. Carbon dioxide remains concentrated in the atmosphere for even hundred of years and I think nobody of us is conscious about that, when driving by car or heating with fossil fuels. The author mentions that because of the global warming low-lying cities and islands have been inundated ...

Press review - fat free and happy

Hi guys! Today I'm going to tell you something about an interesting article which I was reading the other day. This article “fat – free and happy” talks about cultures and clichés. I thought you might be interested because these keywords are compared. Firstly, the author was talking about the thoughts how the USA would look like. This girl had visions of an unspoilt countryside, white churches and houses and small fishing ports. Instead of that, her first impression was rather different because in her mind it was a mess of freeways. Basically, what it says is that Europeans are compared to the USA extremely arrogant. Why do we allow ourselves to think, that we are better educated, better dressed or better informed? Cliches die hard and not fast. What puzzled me most was that a lot of people say that Americans have no culture. But what is “culture”? In my opinion, everyone has another definition of “culture”. Does it mean to know nearly everything about art and music...

My favourite way to shop

Hey everyone! Today I am going to talk about shopping, mainly about online shopping and which type of shopping I like most. Let’s get started! As you know, a lot of people shop online nowadays. They prefer it because they can shop everytime, as well on Sunday and in night. They do not have to drive one hour or longer just to get to the next big shopping mall. Many people think it is better because they don’t have to walk in so many stores, if they need a special product. A positive thing about online shopping is that you can buy so many products as you want and usually, you can send them back easily.   Shops in Austria are usually open on six days a week. One day, normally on Sunday, of rest and one day, usually Saturday, shops are only open until midday. The opening hours during the week depend on the store. Most of the stores are open from 9am until 6pm. During this time some stores also have lunchtime that means that the shops are closed for at least half an...
